This came out yesterday on the BBC. The Rangers found the remains of the missing adult female from the Rugendo family, as you can see on Paulin’s blog.

Thanks for posting this story. I’m glad to see major newspapers picking up stories from the blogs and from rangers.

Horrified, made my blood boil. I followed this news on the BBC and made a £50 donation via the ZSL. Does this money come straight to you and straight into the field?
Lastly, you guys do amazing work which should be more widely publicized. The very best of luck to you and your team!

I agree with Martin R. The Western world really needs to be made aware of the horrors of what is happening to these magnificent creatures before it is too late. I was only made aware of the extent of the situation by logging on to your web-site, following a small news item in the Sunday Mirror, reporting the slaughter of the family of 4 gorrillas. It really needs to be flagged up and widely published, and whatever I can do to help in this respect, here in England, I will do. Jane Ware

May I suggest you roll this blog into Elie’s blog? … It might be useful to have a less diffuse focus on the Rangers.

The video of the Rugendo family brought tears to my eyes…Please keep up your blogs and we will support you as much as we can. There are a lot of people around the world who will go out of the way to help you save these nature wonders, you just need to let them know you need help.
